Butler Rowland Mays Architects - Black Watch Memorial Library

BRMA was hired by the Trustees to research alternatives for renovating, enlarging, and maintaining this historic library. Our challenge was to expand the library on a very tight and irregularly shaped site, while maintaining the integrity of the original building and satisfying the requirements of the New York State Historic Preservation Office. We also needed to address handicap accessibility, integrate information technology improvements, and meet space program requirements.
