Middleburgh Library Association
Middleburgh, New York

When the historic village of Middleburgh found that it had outgrown the 2,400 square foot residential structure that the library had occupied since 1932, the heart of Main Street was the obvious location for a new, fully-accessible library. The new library's civic design is intended to blend with the traditional streetscape and the historic context of the downtown. The formal front entry is supplemented by an accessible entry at the parking lot, allowing the building to provide a welcome face to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
